Five Operating Modes Of Excavators

There are five types of excavator operation modes, which are described in detail below:
The application range of excavators is very wide. By replacing different attachments, such as hydraulic hammers, hydraulic shears, bulldozers, grabs, etc., they can complete a variety of operations such as crushing, disassembly, and grabbing.
(1) Backhoe operation
Backhoe operation is generally carried out below the ground and is mainly for digging.
1) Use the dipper arm and bucket to dig together. When the bucket hydraulic cylinder and the connecting rod, and the dipper arm hydraulic cylinder and the dipper arm are all at 90 degrees, the maximum digging force and digging efficiency can be obtained.
2) Try to keep the direction of the bucket teeth consistent with the digging direction to reduce digging resistance and bucket tooth wear.
(2) Front shovel operation
Front shovel operation is generally carried out above the ground, and the bucket rotates in the opposite way to the backhoe. The digging force during front shovel is less than that during backhoe operation.
(3) Trenching operation
By configuring a bucket corresponding to the width of the trench and making the crawlers on both sides parallel to the edge of the trench to be dug, trenching operations can be carried out efficiently. When digging a wide trench, dig the sides first and then the middle.
(4) Loading operation
When loading, the excavator should be moved behind the loading truck to prevent the bucket from hitting the truck cab or other personnel when rotating. It is also easier to load behind the truck than beside the truck. Loading from front to back is more convenient and can load more.
(5) Leveling the ground
1) Fill and level the ground first, and move the bucket back and forth horizontally.
2) When the excavator is moving, do not use pressure or shovel to level the ground.
3) Level the ground from the front of the excavator to the front, then gently pull the boom and slowly raise the boom. When the boom exceeds the vertical position, carefully lower the boom first, and then operate the machine to move the bucket horizontally.
